Doth Thou Assume Too Much?

Someone told me one time, when you assume you make an ass out of you and me. I can see that now. Assuming what will happen, even 5 minutes from now, is a waste of time. Unless you are a seer, you cannot predict the future. Making an assumption is just that, an attempt to predict the future before it occurs.

Where’s the mystery in that? If you guess right woo hoo for you and if you don’t guess right, the outcome is the same nonetheless.

Making assumptions in life hasn’t ever done really much for me except make situations more stressful then they needed to be. It’s true that the monsters you make up in your head are way more terrifying then the reality that is right in front of you.

Next time you’re faced with the choice of either assuming what will occur or waiting to see what will happen, I hope you wait. Life’s little surprises happen when you are least expecting them.

Have an awesome day and an awesome life. One love.
